Summer Camp

14th – 16th August 2026

We are excited to be planning our first Summer Camp under South Coast Wing Chun!

The idea of the ‘camp’ is to train intensely over a long weekend. This camp will be hosted by the head of our organisation, Sifu Steve Truman, in venues across Brighton. There will be lessons in classical Wing Chun, clinchwork, sparring, formwork, weaponwork and more…

On this occasion, we are allowing students to obtain their own accommodation to keep their costs down. Students may also opt to travel in – all we ask is that they arrive to the training venues on time.

Cost for training is £120pp which covers all three days.

Please note – the camp is not fitness oriented and all abilities are welcome.

7th & 8th March 2026 10.00am – 12.30pm

Our next grading for kids and adults up to Brown 1.

You must be training at South Coast classes to be entered for your next grade.

Our brand new classes for the new year!! All of these open with a FREE taster session – go along and try it!

LANCING

The class will be at The Lancing Parish Hall, 96 South Street, Lancing, BN15 8AJ. Parking is available – get in touch for info.

Starts 6.30pm and finishes at 8pm.

SOUTHBOURNE

The class will be at Southbourne Village Hall, First Avenue, Southbourne, PO10 8HN. A brilliant venue in the heart of the fantastic community.

PORTSMOUTH

The class will be at The Drayton Centre, 238 Havant Road, Portsmouth, PO6 1PA

Starts 7.00pm -8.30pm

As with all our classes, we welcome those with little to no fitness, or those that think they might be too old for martial arts – its worth having a go.

Wing Chun Forms Seminar - South Coast Style

18th April 2026 10.00am – 2.00pm

Many practitioners perform the forms blindly, not knowing what they are doing it for. In this seminar, we will unravel the hidden nuances within the forms, and learn about structure / energy / rhythm. Perfect for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

Open to the public – you must book before attending.

NEW Worthing Kids Class Opening

March 2026 6.30pm – 7.30pm

After much demand, we are opening a brand new kids class in Worthing.

This will be for ages 7+ and will focus on techniques that are actually useful to kids (rather than just throwing punches and kicks that wont work). The classes are perfect for those with low confidence or who have anxiety.

The friendly team are less concerned with perfection and are instead interested in fostering an atmosphere of fun and interest in the martial arts.

Fees – £30 a month.

If you have a second child, they only have to pay £20

The third and any subsequent child would then only have to pay £12
